Three Women Writing Romance- Interview with Tammie Clarke Gibbs

Hello, dear readers, and happy Friday! Hope you’ve had a good week and have an even better weekend! Today, it’s our pleasure to present Kindle best-selling author Tammie Clarke Gibbs. Thanks, Tammie, for being our guest and sharing your work with us!
What genre do you write? My first three novels have been Romantic Suspense. One is a Gothic Time Travel (Island of Secrets), One is a Historical Romantic Suspense (Keeping Secrets) and my most recent (Sworn to Secrecy) is a Time Travel Romantic Suspense.
How long have you been writing and how many published works? I’ve been writing since I was a junior in high school so around twenty years. Counting both fiction and nonfiction I have around eleven.
Of the novels you’ve written, which is your favorite and why? My debut novel ISLAND OF SECRETS was the culmination of many years spent in search of a dream so for I guess it’s the one I’m most invested in. It will always hold a special place in my heart, but I really love all three of my novels.
Do you have a favorite character from your work? I really don’t, I like all of them so much I find myself with the desire to share all of my character’s stories.     Where do you get your story ideas? I love old family history and obscure history books. The slightest thing can spark an idea.
Is there anyone in particular who has influenced your writing career? I always have to say that my high school teacher is responsible for my writing career. I never knew I could write until I took a short story class and he told me.
What do you do when you’re not writing? I’m a licensed Realtor in Georgia and love to design book covers. I stay pretty busy.
What’s one thing about you that most people don’t know? My first business was started just two weeks after high school graduation. It was a balloon business and you could frequently find me walking the downtown streets in a red wig as Raggedy Ann.
What’s next on your writing journey? Next up is a Paranormal Thrilled titled SOCIETY OF BLOOD: THE IMMORTALS. I’m really excited about it.
